CIF State Baseball: Millikan Falls at Point Loma

The562’s coverage of Millikan Athletics for the 2025-26 school year is sponsored by Brian Ramsey and TLD Law.

The Millikan baseball team capped a historic season on Tuesday on the road in San Diego against Point Loma. The Moore League champion Rams (23-9) were a surprise entrant into the CIF State Division II playoffs despite a semifinal exit in the CIF-SS playoffs thanks to two opt-outs in their division. The Rams made the most of their opportunity, playing 14 players in the state playoffs, in what ended up being a 5-2 defeat.

Austin Brett got the start on the mound for Millikan and went four innings, yielding two hits and two runs. Maison Crommie relieved him, giving up three runs in two innings of action.

Wyatt Smith pitched the complete game for Point Loma, giving up 10 hits but just two runs.

Daunte Bell was 1-3 in his final game as a Ram, Alan Machado was 2-4, Xavier Kennard was 2-3, and AJ Nonato was 2-3 with a run. Lucas Helig and Jacob Amado each had an RBI hit for the Rams.

This concludes the 2025-26 school year of sports for Long Beach.
