Millikan High will be closed on Monday, December 15 due to an issue stemming from construction on campus.
Flooding led to an electrical issue according to school administration, which sent a message out to parents and families telling them that the campus would be closed on Monday.
School will be closed due to “an emergency facility repair that requires immediate attention,” according to an email sent by Millikan principal Stacie Alexander. “All classes, activities, athletics, and other programs scheduled for tomorrow are cancelled,” according to the email.
The school said it will send an update by Monday afternoon confirming Tuesday’s re-opening. This is the last week of classes for the LBUSD before the two-week Winter Break.
