Girls’ volleyball has quickly become one of the top sports in the Long Beach high school sports scene, and last year was a recent highwater mark for the local squads. Long Beach Poly won the CIF Southern Section Division 3 championship and made a deep state run, while Wilson won a first-round playoff match in D3, Millikan made the quarterfinals in Division 4, Lakewood made the semis in Division 5 and qualified for State, and St. Anthony won a Division 5 playoff match.
All of those teams return major talent and figure to be even better in 2025, as well as on-the-rise programs around the city.
