HIGH SCHOOL

Brooklyn Taylor, Long Beach Poly Basketball

In a battle of first-place unbeatens last Friday, Brooklyn Taylor led Long Beach Poly to a win over Lakewood. The CSUB signee had 13 points, 13 rebounds, three blocks and three steals.

Keaton Lewis, Lakewood Basketball

Keaton Lewis led the way for Lakewood last week in huge wins over Cabrillo and Long Beach Poly to put the Lancers alone in first place. The standout junior had 15 points against the Jags and 20 points against Poly.

Aman Haynes, St Anthony Basketball

Aman Haynes led St. Anthony to a big win over Jordan last Monday to wrap up a 3-0 season against the Moore League; Haynes had 18 points to lead the Saints in the win.

Cindy Norfles, Wilson Soccer

Wilson senior Cindy Norfles scored the game winning goal against Long Beach Poly and played well at center back as well, solidifying Wilson’s second-place spot in the Moore League.

Kiara Maze, Hailey Suttle, Millikan Water Polo

Millikan’s Kiara Maze and Hailey Suttle combined for 14 saves to help guide the Rams to a big Moore League 6-3 victory over Poly last week, putting the Rams in second behind Wilson.

Gabriella Bonilla, Millikan Wrestling

Freshman Gabriella Bonilla came up with a lightning fast pin as Millikan topped Lakewood to finish the Moore League schedule with a win.

Chris Anguiano, Millikan Wrestling

Chris Anguiano is the next standout Millikan freshman, and he won via comeback to help the Rams defeat Lakewood and clinch a 14 straight Moore League championship last week.

Luca Pires, Wilson Soccer

Wilson senior Luca Pires scored twice against Cabrillo and to this point has scored at least one goal in all seven Moore League soccer games he’s played this season.
