Wilson boys’ golf won its first head-to-head match of the 2023 season by beating Valley Christian 192-248 on Thursday at Recreation Park Golf Course.

Bruins co-captain Ky Stopp earned medalist honors with a 1-under round. 

Wilson opened the season earlier this week with a third place finish in the Ayala Classic at Los Serranos golf club. Jet Adame led the Bruins with a 2-over round. Wilson had a team score of 393 ahead of Huntington Beach and Edison.

Next Wednesday, Wilson travels to Los Alamitos at Navy Golf Course.
