HIGH SCHOOL

Kaleb Foster, Lakewood Football

Lakewood’s rushing attack once again led the way and helped put the Lancers in their first CIF-SS football championship game in 52 years. Foster led the attack which piled up 258 yards and two touchdowns; he also had the game-winning touchdown catch.

Rahkeen Moore, Lakewood Football

Rahkeen Moore was once again the leader for a ferocious Lakewood defense on Friday, putting up three sacks and five tackles for a loss as part of a dominant effort that didn’t give up any points in the second half.

Camille Lindsay, Long Beach Poly Cross Country

Long Beach Poly senior Camille Lindsay returned from injury late in this season and helped lead her team to the CIF State Finals with a gutty 19:01 time at Mt. SAC, backing up Poly leader Avery Peck.

Alexa Bryson, Long Beach Poly Cross Country

The Jackrabbits jumped 11 spots from the first mile to the third to qualify for State, and no one in the entire Division 1 race moved up more over the final two miles than Poly senior Alex Bryson, who climbed 40 spots to finish in 19:53 to help get Poly’s team total to a qualifying number.

Jason Parra, Millikan Cross Country

Millikan’s Jason Parra was sick all week but battled through and was able to secure another individual berth to the CIF State Finals. Parra’s 15:15 clocking over the three-mile course earned him a 12th place finish and the last individual spot to State.

Cameron Rhone, Long Beach Poly Cross Country

Poly senior Cameron Rhone showed his reserve strength at Clovis. The Jackrabbits team fell short of advancing but Rhone finished fourth with a time of 15:07 to punch his ticket to Clovis as an individual.
