Naples Car Wash Sponsors The562.org’s Long Beach State Volleyball Coverage

The562.org is pleased to announce our latest sport-specific sponsor. Naples Car Wash has stepped up to sponsor all of The562’s coverage of the Long Beach State men’s and women’s volleyball programs from now through the 2022-23 school year.

Naples Car Wash is Long Beach’s best-known hand wash and detailing service, located on Naples Island adjacent to Naples Rib Company. Like Naples Ribs, Naples Car Wash is owned by Dave Ursini, a longtime supporter of local sports teams and our coverage and a top-notch volleyball fan as well.

“I love Long Beach State volleyball and I love the 562’s coverage of Long Beach sports, so this is a win-win,” said Ursini.

“We’re excited to continue to partner with Dave and another fantastic Long Beach small business,” said The562’s publisher, Andy Kerr. “As Long Beach’s first non-profit journalism outlet, we rely on sponsorships to continue bringing our coverage to the city free of charge. We’re grateful to Naples Car Wash for their support and for allowing us to continue covering the Beach volleyball programs.”

Long Beach State volleyball is trending up, with the men’s team a national championship contender currently ranked No. 2 in the nation, and the women’s team on the rise under new head coach Tyler Hildebrand.

Naples Car wash is the latest local business to sponsor The562’s award-winning local sports coverage. Previous sponsors include P2S, Inc sponsoring our Dirtbags coverage, Bryson Financial sponsoring this year’s cross country coverage and Aqualand sponsoring water polo.

As a non-profit news outlet, The562 depends on reader support and sponsorships in order to cover the Long Beach community. If you’re interested in sponsoring The562’s coverage, or coverage of a specific school or sport, email Tyler@The562.org or visit our Support page to get involved. Any donation made to The562 is fully tax-deductible.
