Lakewood boys’ water polo went on the road Tuesday for the first round of the CIF Southern Section Division 6 and came away with an 8-5 win at Tahquitz. The Lancers visit San Bernardino for the second round on Thursday.
Lakewood goalkeeper John Borders was fantastic in the cage while Nathan Napuhaku scored a game-high four goals. Aaron Talag chipped in two goals while Andrew de la Riva and Soren Widmann both scored once.
