Bryson Sponsors The562’s Cross-Country Coverage For 2021-22

The562 is pleased to announce its newest sponsor of local sports coverage. Bryson is a local leader in financial and insurance services, serving the Long Beach community since 1969. Bryson has agreed to sponsor all of the cross-country coverage that will appear on The562.org during the upcoming school year.

The Bryson sponsorship of cross-country coverage is the first of its kind at The562. As a non-profit journalism outlet, The562 has taken a creative approach in fundraising, finding new ways to support local sports and education reporting. In order to maintain The562’s existing levels of coverage, while also providing the content at no cost to our readers, sponsorships are a needed component of our business model moving forward.

“We are thrilled to welcome Bryson as our first sport-specific sponsor of The562’s coverage,” said publisher Andy Kerr. “We love partnering with local businesses who not only have deep roots in the community, but also have a passion for youth sports. Bryson is the perfect supporter to help us continue our great cross-country coverage this school year.”

The sponsorship will run through the 2021-22 school year, and help offset The562’s costs in producing season previews, highlight videos, photo galleries, event recaps, and feature stories in the upcoming cross country season.

Bryson’s CEO, Trent Bryson, has been with the company for two decades and is an active member of Long Beach’s non-profit community, serving as a board member and chair of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Long Beach.
