Long Beach State senior Holland Shourds won the individual championship at the Big West Championship at Yorba Linda Country Club this week. She posted a one-under par 71 in the final round.
Shourds is the third consecutive Big West individual conference champion for LBSU after Jennifer Yu and Haley Tygret won the 2018 and 2019 titles, respectively. The Beach finished third as a team.

Millikan Wins Again
The Rams boys’ and girls’ teams both beat Lakewood at El Dorado Golf Course on Thursday. Ethan Nash took the medalist honor on the boys’ side with a 38 as Millikan won 206-274. Olivia Hibson was the medalist on the girls’ side with a 44 as the Rams took the match 255-290.
Saints Keep Marching
The St. Anthony boys (7-0) stayed undefeated with a win over St. Monica. Freshman Ethan Schwichtenberg led the Saints with a 4-over 40. The St. Anthony girls (1-1) opened league play this week with a 294-299 win over Bishop Montgomery at Lakewood Country Club.
