The Wilson girls’ basketball team is ranked No. 1 in Division 3A, and the Bruins certainly looked like the bracket’s team to beat in their first round road contest against Marina. Wilson got contributions from a number of players in an easy 62-19 victory.
Wilson was led by 19 points from Ashley Hawkins, 11 from Samiya Terry, eight from Jasmine Stone, and five apiece from Sydney Ross and Kalasia Levine.
Wilson will host Bell Gardens Saturday evening in the second round of the Division 3A playoffs.
