St. Anthony Boys’ Basketball Still Marching

The hottest boys’ basketball team in town is still St. Anthony. The Saints are up to 18-1 on the year and are ranked No. 14 in the nation by MaxPreps, and No. 6 in the State. In the recent CIF-SS Division 1 poll, the Saints are No. 7, making them prime candidates for an Open Division spot, which would be a first for the program.

The Saints are fresh off a 58-57 overtime win over Harvard-Westlake, which saw Lorenzo Marsh knock down the game-winner with less than five seconds left.

In the Moore League, Long Beach Poly and Millikan are both off to 2-0 starts while Wilson is at 1-0. Compton, Lakewood, and Jordan have one loss apiece and Cabrillo is off to an 0-2 start.
