Ashley Hawkins, Wilson Basketball

The Wilson girls’ basketball team had a big stretch last week with five games in six days, including competing in the Orangewood Tournament. Ashley Hawkins came up big in the tourney, earning All-Tournament honors after performances that included 22 points against Los Osos. Hawkins is averaging 19.9 points per game this year.

Alicia Calderon, Millikan Soccer

Millikan knocked off Wilson 2-0 last week to take a commanding hold of first place with wins over the Bruins and Poly. It wouldn’t have been possible without the heroics of goalkeeper Alicia Calderon, who turned away 10 shots on goal in the game to keep a clean sheet for the Rams.
