Find out where your favorite Long Beach team is playing this week.

Long Beach City College Men’s Water Polo vs. El Camino, 4:30 p.m.

The LBCC men are 13-0 after dominating four games as part of the Cuesta Invite last weekend. Sophomore attacker and Montenegro native Vedran Latkovic leads the Vikings with 42 goals this season. The Vikings are hosting El Camino today after the women’s teams play at 3 p.m.

High School Girls’ Volleyball, 4:30 p.m.

This is a massive day for the Moore League with the top four teams playing each other. Long Beach Poly and Lakewood are tied for first, and the Jackrabbits will be hosting Wilson tonight while the Lancers travel to Millikan. The Bruins and Rams are tied for third place.

Long Beach State Women’s Soccer at Cal Poly, 7 p.m.

The Beach is starting Big West Conference play on the road tonight while trying to break a four-game losing streak. LBSU was picked by the conference coaches to win the Big West before the season, but has struggled to find its offense against elite competition so far this year.

Cal Poly was picked to finish last in the conference and has started the season 3-7-1 with a quality win over Pepperdine. The Beach and the Mustangs both played the University of San Diego last month. LBSU edged the Toreros in overtime, and Cal Poly lost 2-1.

High School Girls’ Golf, 2:30 p.m.

The big match of the day will be at Recreation Park Golf Course where Moore League leaders Wilson are hosting Poly. In other action, Cabrillo is traveling to Skylinks Golf Course to take on Lakewood. There are only three match days left before the Moore League Individual tournament starts.

High School Girls’ Tennis, 3 p.m.

This is the last match day for the first round of Moore League action, and the most intriguing matchup is at El Dorado Tennis Courts where Millikan is hosting Lakewood. In other action, Poly is visiting Jordan, Wilson is hosting Cabrillo and Compton is taking on CAMS at Cal State Dominguez Hills.

High School Football, 7 p.m.

While Long Beach Poly and Wilson battle to find out who is the best high school football team in Long Beach, Jordan will be hosting Compton and Millikan will be traveling to Lakewood in the other Moore League games.

The Battle Of The Blueprint rivalry between the Rams and Lancers has been a heated one in recent years, and a victory will give one of these teams the inside track to a third place finish in league. That also would likely guarantee a playoff spot.

In other local action, St. Anthony is opening Santa Fe League play against Harvard-Westlake at Clark Field.

Long Beach State Men’s Water Polo at No. 2 UCLA, 7 p.m.

The Beach has two more tough nonconference games against UCLA and Stanford before starting Golden Coast Conference play against San Jose State. LBSU hasn’t beaten UCLA since upsetting the Bruins in the 2015 MPSF semifinals at Ken Lindgren Aquatics Center.

Long Beach City College Women’s Volleyball vs. Cerritos, 6 p.m.

The Vikings (7-5, 2-0) extended its winning streak to four games with a victory at Rio Hondo in South Coast Conference action last week, and they continue SCC play at Pasadena on Wednesday and at home tonight. Callissa Candalot and Anisa Lopez led LBCC with 13 and 12 kills, respectively, in the win at Rio Hondo.

Long Beach City College Women’s Soccer vs. L.A. Harbor, 2 p.m.

The Vikings (5-2) were at rival Cerritos on Tuesday, and return home today for another conference game.

Long Beach City College Football vs. Cerritos, 6 p.m.

They’re playing for the Crosstown Cup this evening at Veterans Memorial Stadium as the Vikings host the rival Falcons. LBCC won a 46-32 thriller at Cerritos last year.

LBCC Associated Student Body will be hosting a steampunk themed tailgate experience for all Vikings fans from 4-5:30 p.m. in the Veterans Stadium parking lot. There will be food trucks, games, and a live band for students, alumni and fans to enjoy. Students and alumni will receive free food vouchers for the food trucks at the Alumni Association booth, and the ASB will be providing free hot dogs for everyone.

Long Beach State Women’s Volleyball at Cal State Northridge, 7 p.m.

LBSU is back on the road to continue Big West play against the Matadors, who are also tied for sixth in the conference. CSUN is led by outside hitter Seyvion Waggoner and her 189 kills ranks fifth in the Big West. LBSU’s Kashauna Williams is second with 219 kills.

Long Beach State Women’s Soccer vs. UC Santa Barbara, 1 p.m.

The Beach is back at George Allen Field today for its conference home opener. The visiting Gauchos (4-3-3) hosted Stanford last month and only lost 1-0. UCSB forward Shaelan Murison leads the Big West with eight goals on 49 shots this season. LBSU leads this all-time series 15-11-1.
