There wasn’t supposed to be a football game at Cabrillo this week, but the Jaguars found an opponent late in the offseason. Since Taft is quite a far drive, the Wildcats are coming to Long Beach at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday for a nonleague clash.
“We’re feeling really good this week with the extra day to practice and heal,” Cabrillo coach Mike Ulafale said.
Taft (2-1) hasn’t had a winning season since 2016.
