Congrats to this week’s winner and thanks to Naples Rib Company for their sponsorship.

Justina King, Long Beach State Basketball

Long Beach State came up with a huge Big West win over Cal Poly last week, thanks in large part to the heroics of Justina King, who had 15 points in the game along with two steals, two rebounds, and three assists.

Louis Richard, Long Beach State Volleyball

Teammate TJ DeFalco brought home Big West Defensive Player of the Week honors, but senior Louis Richard had a huge hand in Long Beach State’s sweep of UCLA last week. Richard had eight kills on just 15 swings with no errors in the win, hitting .533 as well as notching four digs and a block.

Jeremiah Sadler, LBCC Basketball

The game didn’t go LBCC’s way last week, but they looked great in an overtime loss to State No. 5-ranked East Los Angeles College. Poly alum Jeremiah Sadler played great for LBCC, with 14 points, seven assists, three steals, and a rebound.

Wiktoria Rutkowska, Long Beach State Tennis

Long Beach State’s Wiktoria Rutkowska and partner Dominique Meyer won the Beach Tennis Invitational doubles championship over the weekend after defeating a duo from Portland State. It was an undefeated weekend for the squad, but Rutkowska gets the AOTW nod after also making it to the singles championship, where she fell to San Diego’s Solymar Colling.
