The Lancers pulled off a huge win in the second round on Saturday and now host the Division 9 top seed in Orange Vista, on Catalina Island at 5 p.m. this evening.

Avalon’s big advantage will be the boat ride: Catalina has earned the nickname “Upset Island” in sports circles because of the effect it often has on teams to take a boat ride to the island before a big match. If the Lancers can advance they’ll play the winner of California School for the Deaf and Pacifica Christian on Saturday.
