St. Anthony got the big Del Rey League win they were looking for, thanks to an even bigger game from quarterback Nick Billoups. The junior scored seven touchdowns in the win to tie a school record and lead St. Anthony to their first league win, beating La Salle 55-31.
Defensively, Keali’i Tuufuli had seven sacks to lead St. Anthony.
St. Anthony (2-6, 1-1) will host St. Genevieve next week in a must-win game. The Saints likely need to win out this regular season to get into the playoffs.
“We’re hoping that something happens for us,” said Saints coach Mario Morales. “We’re going to need a little bit of help, if we can beat St. Genevieve that would set up a lot of intriguing things.”
