Millikan Football Honors Dave Radford With Helmet Decal

Millikan football head coach Justin Utupo announced Thursday morning that the Rams will honor legendary head coach and longtime Millikan community leader Dave Radford with a helmet decal this season.

Radford passed away last November after a life of service as a Millikan coach and then a mentor to young coaches. Last year Millikan hosted its first playoff game since Radford’s tenure in the 1980s.

“He was a huge mentor for me during my first year as a head coach,” said Utupo. “Just because he’s not with us physically, we still feel his presence at every practice, film session, workout, and game.”

Millikan is off to a 2-0 start and is ranked No. 2 in the CIF Southern Section Division 7 poll, their highest ranking in more than 30 years.
