The Lakewood boys’ volleyball team is ranked No. 2 in CIF Southern Section Division 2, and the Lancers (5-3, 1-0) opened Moore League play with a 25-6, 25-9, 25-9 win over Cabrillo on Thursday. Lakewood’s Kyler Tufuga filled the stat box with 12 kills, five service aces and seven digs. Beau Tiedemann chipped in six kills and four blocks.
Meanwhile, Wilson traveled to Jordan and swept the Panthers 25-20, 25-10, 25-3. Josh Lambert had 11 kills, Robby Metscher chipped in nine kills and Payne Lounsbery collected six service aces.
