The Millikan girls wrestling team finished eighth as a team at the CIF State meet, with 47 total points (Selma won the championship with 142 points). Junior Sierra Adams-Gregory finished third in the 189-pound weight class, Stephany Arriaga was 7th in the 137-pound and Liz Mata was eighth in the 101-pound.
Lakewood’s Randy Gonzalez, Jr. continued his dream season last weekend at the CIF Southern Section Masters meet. Gonzalez, the CIF-SS champion at 285 pounds, took third at Masters to qualify for state. Millikan’s Alex Andrade is also headed to state after finishing seventh at 132 pounds. Andrade was the runner-up at CIF the previous week. […]
