Boys’ Volleyball: Avalon Wins Express League Championship
The Lancers defeated Liberty Christian to earn a co-Express League championship. Beto Martinez led the way with 16 kills, while Jose Gomes had 13 aces and 26 digs and Jimmy Felix had 47 assists. Avalon joins Lakewood and St. Anthony as local boys’ volleyball champions. CIF-SS playoff brackets will be released Friday afternoon.
