The Millikan girls’ water polo team suffered a heartbreaking defeat on the road in the second round of the CIF Southern Section Division 3 playoffs. The Rams were the top seed and had easily advanced from Tuesday’s opener, but fell on the road Thursday at Peninsula, 11-10.
Millikan trailed by five goals and came back to almost tie the game late, but came up just short.
