Wilson claimed part of the Moore League Team championship with a hard-fought win over the Millikan Rams. The Rams had previously been undefeated with a 7-0 record, but drop to 7-1 while the Bruins improved to the same 7-1 record, so the teams sit as co-champions of the Moore League.
In an 18-hole match at El Dorado Golf Course, Wilson outshot Millikan 390-401. This win allowed the Bruins and Rams to share the title, but Wilson had a 4-shot advantage after the front nine to put themselves a step ahead of Millikan.
Freshman John Schroeder earned medalist honors with an even par round of 72, capped off with a birdie on the 18.
With Millikan previously beating Wilson on April 1st, the Moore League opponents split the season series with the Bruins topping the Rams this time around. However, Wilson won the tiebreaker on the front nine with that slight advantage to earn the No. 1 seed and an automatic bid into the playoffs.
The Moore League will now turn their eyes to the Individual Tournament which will begin April 27th at Skylinks.
