It was a great weekend for Long Beach Poly badminton as the Jackrabbits’ doubles team of senior Danny Lim and junior Joshua Laure.
The duo won the consolation bracket at the Arcadia badminton tournament to continue an impressive season for the pair. After losing their opening round contest the pair landed in the consolation bracket needing to win three matches to make it to the consolation finals.
Lam and Laure did just that as they defeated Arcadia’s Sean Wu and Austin Chin 21-19, 21-13 before advancing to the quarterfinals for where they defeated Pasadena Poly 21-15, 21-4.
In the semifinals, the duo won a thriller defeating San Marino’s Sean Trisandi and Joseph Li 21-8, 15-21, 21-8.
In the consolation final they defeated Marina’s Jeffrey Nguyen and Eric Nguyen 21-14, 21-8 to finish as the consolation champions.
Along with their win, the duo is also undefeated in Moore League action this season.
