Lakewood Baseball Searching For Next Coach

Following legendary coach Spud O’Neil announcing he’ll retire at the end of the year, Lakewood is looking for its next baseball coach.

The shoes to fill will be big–O’Neil is second in California in wins all-time in the sport, and has won CIF-SS titles, coached Major Leaguers, and been arguably the most successful coach the school has ever had. He’s also been there since 1984 and is only the third coach in Lakewood’s nearly 70 year history–meaning his replacement will only be the fourth Lakewood coach ever.

For those interested, send a resume and letter of interest to athletic director Mike Wadley by March 27–mwadley@lbschools.net.
