The CIF Southern Section Boys Wrestling Masters Meet is today and nine grapplers representing the Moore League will converge at Sonora High as they look to qualify for State.
Millikan’s Chris Anguiano is the top seed in the Blue Division 157-pound bracket. Last year, Anguiano took bronze in the 150-pound Gold Division.
He’s joined in the Blue Division by teammates Milad Sharif (144) and Jason Fiala (150), while Jimmy Alvarez continues his impressive freshman campaign in the Gold Division as he competes for the 138-pound title. The Rams’ will be joined by Daniel Cullen who got word this morning that he will be joining the field and competing for the 113-pound title.
For Poly, Lincoln Chung will compete in the Blue Division for the 138-pound title. He’ll be joined by Knox Espinoza (120), Alek Carrera (157) and Alberto Olague (175) who are competing in the Gold Division.
The top five finishers from the blue and gold divisions will represent the CIF-SS at the State Championships.
