The CIF-SS girls’ soccer brackets were released Saturday morning, and Long Beach has four teams representing in Divisions 2 through 5.

All games are scheduled for Thursday, Feb. 12, at 5pm, but are subject to time change. CLICK HERE to view the complete brackets on the CIF website.

Division 2

After a perfect 12-0 season to reclaim the Moore League championship, the Millikan girls’ soccer team ends up back in the same division as last year. The Rams will open the first-round of the Division 2 bracket on the road as they travel to El Segundo on Thursday.

Millikan and El Segundo share one common opponent from their regular-season schedules, as Newport Harbor defeated the Eagles 2-1 in their season finale while the Rams beat Newport Harbor 1-0 in their first match of the new year. Including that game, Millikan closed the season on an 8-1 run while finishing with six straight wins.

El Segundo finished the season 8-9-2 but picked up an automatic bid with a second place finish in the Pioneer League. The Eagles enter the Division 2 bracket after previously making an appearance in Division 1 last year.

Division 3

After competing in Division 2 each of the last four years, Wilson will begin its playoff journey in Division 3 this season. The Bruins earned a home draw and will open the playoffs Thursday with a first-round matchup against La Canada.

The matchup will serve as the Bruins’ first home playoff game since 2022. The Bruins enter the postseason on a five-game win streak after finishing 12–4–2 overall and 9–2–1 in the Moore League to earn a strong second-place finish.

La Canada enters the postseason after a 8-7-4 regular season and second place finish in the Rio Hondo League.

Division 4

The Long Beach Poly girls’ soccer team is looking to mimic its Division 3 playoff run from a year ago and will start this year’s Division 4 journey with a long road trip to open the first round on Thursday at Apple Valley.

The Jackrabbits finished the season with a 7-4-1 record in the Moore League for third place, and have a tough task ahead of them in their playoff opener. The Sun Devils were 12-5-1 this season and finished second in the Mojave River League.

Division 5

Lakewood finished the Moore League season 6–5–1 to place fourth and claim the final automatic playoff bid, and will open the Division 5 playoffs on the road at Rowland on Thursday. The Raiders finished their season 9–9–2 and in third place in the Valle Vista League.
