The 710 rivalry kicked off Thursday night as Cabrillo and Jordan closed out their Moore League seasons, with the Panthers rolling to a dominant 69-18 win.
The Panthers were led by senior running back Marcus Williams, who finished the night with seven total touchdowns, including six scores through the ground. According to Jordan coach Alfred Rowe, William’s seven touchdowns is a new school record.
Jordan also found a touchdown pass from Sama’Jay Jackson to Marquice Horton on an incredible catch made in the back corner of the endzone. The Panther’s final touchdown of the night came on a long rush run junior Jeremiah Farmer.
The Jaguars found some success through the air as quarterback Fernando Leanos found receivers Stephen Walker and Danny Lopez for a pair of touchdowns. Cabrillo also found a late touchdown rush from junior Kade Collins.
