UPDATE: Compton Football Vs. Dorsey Will Be Open to Spectators

UPDATE: Compton assistant coach Lamar Freeman has confirmed to The562.org that spectators will be allowed to attend Friday’s football contest between Compton and Dorsey, reversing a decision made by the school earlier in the day.

On Tuesday morning, Compton High School staff confirmed to The562.org that spectators would not be permitted to attend Friday’s football contest against Dorsey. No reason was given for closing the game due to spectators. The game will be available to watch via live stream online.

The Tarbabes (2-1) made their debut in their new stadium this year and seven of their 10 regular season games scheduled are at home.

The Compton coaching staff was not immediately available for comment.

The official Compton football instagram story account posted “Very disappointed” in response to the news. This story will be updated as more information becomes available.
