Caleb Safotu, Long Beach Poly Baseball
Long Beach Poly beat St. Anthony in a dominant 10-2 win, and catcher Caleb Safotu had a productive day at the plate for the Jackrabbits. Safotu went 2-for-3 on the day with three RBIs and a pair of runs.
Janelle Morris, Long Beach Poly Softball
The Long Beach Poly Jackrabbits came alive in the fifth inning to secure a win over Wilson. Senior Janelle Morris had a pair of hits and four RBIs during the ten-run rally.
Kobe Magdael, Millikan Boys’ Volleyball
The Millikan Rams swept Long Beach Poly in a big Moore League boys’ volleyball showdown. Senior Kobe Magdael had a big day for the Rams, totalling up a game-high 15 kills in the win.
Shane Guy, Wilson Baseball
Shane Guy has been a dominant force on the mound for Wilson, and their game against Jordan was no exception. Guy threw a no-hitter with 14 strikeouts against the Panthers.
Riley McAndrew, Millikan Softball
Riley McAndrew has unexpectedly become Millikan’s ace this year, and the senior is dominating in the circle. McAndrew threw six scoreless innings with six strikeouts, only allowing two hits against the Wilson Bruins.
Kayla Cisneros, Millikan Softball
Kayla Cisneros had a huge day on offense for the Millikan Rams in their 9-1 win over the Wilson Bruins. The senior went 4-for-5 at the plate with four RBIs in the dominant victory.
Daunte Bell, Millikan Baseball
Daunte Bell dominated on the mound for the Millikan Rams against Long Beach Poly. The senior ace pitched all seven innings, giving up zero runs and zero walks while also tallying up 10 strikeouts. Bell retired the last 11 batters he faced to secure the 7-0 win.
Tanner Miramontes, Lakewood Baseball
The Lakewood Lancers had an exciting day on the diamond against Wilson. Senior Tanner Miramontes hit the game-winning RBI on a shot to right field to capture the 3-2 win for Lakewood.
