It was a big day on the green for two undefeated Moore League boys’ golf teams. The Millikan Rams and Wilson Bruins both stayed unbeaten in league play after big wins on Tuesday.
Millikan took down the Long Beach Poly Jackrabbits 196-224 at El Dorado to improve to 3-0 in the Moore League. The Rams were led by junior Tyler Carmichael, who was the medalist of the day with a 2-under par round of 34.
Senior Daniel Anderson supported Carmichael with an even par round of 36. For the Jackrabbits, senior Maxwell Ostlund had to lowest score for the visitors with a round of 40.
The Wilson Bruins teed off against the Cabrillo Jaguars at Recreation Park for their Tuesday Moore League face off. Wilson improved to 10-2 on the season and 2-0 in league play after their victory.
The Bruins shot a season best of 183 (+3) to secure the win over the Jags. Wilson freshman John Schroeder led the way to the win, earning medalist honors with a sub par round of 34 (-2).
Wilson will be back in action on Thursday at Recreation Park where they will face league rival Long Beach Poly. Millikan will resume Moore League play next Tuesday against the Wilson Bruins.
