It was a walk-off Wednesday on Bohl Diamond at Blair Field as the Jordan Panthers earned an exciting 1-0 win over Pasadena Poly.
Freshman Ethan Fragoza delivered a two-out, bases-loaded single in the bottom of the seventh to score fellow ninth grader Daymian Beltran and win the game, improving the Panthers to 4-1 on the season.
Sophomore Julian Lopez was the star of the evening for J-Town on the mound, tossing a complete game shutout to earn the win. The righty allowed just two hits and walked four while racking up 10 strikeouts. Poly only had one inning where a runner reached scoring position, but Lopez got a strikeout looking to strand runners at second and third.
Fragoza had a pair of hits out of the two-hole in the order, while leadoff man Sam Dixon was 2-for-4 with a stolen base.
Jordan is back in action on Friday, on the road at Gabrielino.
