Millikan and Long Beach Poly both won second-round CIF Southern Section girls’ water polo games and will join Cabrillo in Friday’s quarterfinals. Millikan defeated Woodbridge on the road, 14-11 and will now travel to Murrieta Valley for Friday’s game in Division 2. If the Rams win they’d face the winner of Santa Barbara and Temple City on Tuesday in the semifinals–they’d host either opponent.
In Division 4 the Jackrabbits defeated Walnut 10-8 and will now host Beaumont at LBCC on Friday at 5pm. If the Jackrabbits win they’d face the winner of Arlington and Schurr on Tuesday in the semifinals, hosting either matchup.
