With the regular season coming to an end, Long Beach Poly had a full-team effort Tuesday night as they defeated Cabrillo 14-0.
Cabrillo’s defense held strong early in the game but the Jackrabbits’ constant pressure finally broke through as Jacky Ugale found the back of the net. That goal was just what Poly needed as Mia Ochoa, Amika Koshy, Lily Montecino, Anna Sowers, Joanna Rodriguez and Emma Espinoza all scored as the Jackrabbits took a 12-0 lead at halftime.
The Jaguars’ had a few stops in the second half, but Poly added two more goals as they remain three points behind Wilson for second place with the win.
The Jackrabbits are back in action Thursday as they’ll be back at home to play their final home gamer of the regular season against Millikan, while Cabrillo will host Wilson.
