The562’s football coverage for the 2025-26 school year is sponsored by Long Beach Poly alums Wendell “WoWo” Moe, Jr. & Tyson Ruffins.
Things continue to heat up in Long Beach as we inch closer to the conclusion of the regular season. After Long Beach Poly picked up a win over Millikan last week, they are back at Veterans Memorial Stadium to take on Wilson in a battle of the remaining unbeaten teams in Moore League action.
Millikan is in a must-win situation when they host Lakewood. Sitting at 2-6, the Rams need to win to remain in contention for one of the league’s automatic playoff bids. The Lancers are coming off a 33-2 win over Jordan.
St. Anthony had a tough non-league schedule, but is right in the mix in the Del Rey league. They take on La Salle who the Saints are currently tied with for third place.
