The Black & Blue Rivalry is coming to Walter Pyramid tonight as Long Beach State men’s basketball hosts UC Irvine. Tipoff is scheduled for 7 p.m.
LBSU won this matchup at home last year 93-88, but is only 3-7 in its last 10 games against UC Irvine.
Last week LBSU showed off its versatile offense in a 79-71 win over Hawaii. The Beach shot a season-high 56.4% from the field and 75% from 3-point range. LBSU is now ranked as the top offense in the Big West, and UC Irvine is the top defense in the conference.
LBSU (12-7, 4-3) is currently tied for fourth place in the Big West and UC Irvine (13-6, 6-1) is tied for second place.
