Millikan’s Laura Faynor and her Ram teammates dominated the Moore League gymnastics finals on Friday at Millikan High. Faynor won the individual title, and the Rams won their ninth team title in the last ten years.
After posting the top scores in vault, beam, bars and floor Millikan finished with 172.650 points. Burroughs finished second (163.375) and Valley Christin was third (156.850).
Faynor finished first in the vault (9.500), bars (8.850) and beam (9.650). Burroughs sophomore Izzy Roquemore won the best on the floor (9.600) and finished second overall.
Sophia Sanchez was the top finisher for Lakewood at fifth overall thanks to a third place finish on the bars, and Samantha Carreon was the top finisher for Wilson at ninth overall. Valley Christian’s Juliana Emanuelli finished third overall.
