CIF Boys’ Soccer: Cabrillo Blanks Thousand Oaks On The Road

The Cabrillo boys’ soccer defense continued to dominate its competition in the CIF Southern Section Division 2 second round match at Thousand Oaks on Saturday. The Jaguars posted their 17th clean sheet of the season in a 2-0 win.

Cabrillo (20-2-4) will host Fountain Valley at 5 p.m. on Wednesday in the quarterfinals.

Eduardo Mosqueda got Carbillo on the board in the 68th minute when he scored off a throw in from Hugo Rojas. Arnold Giron added the insurance goal in the 78th minute after defender Josue Guzman cleared a shot off his own line in the 75th minute.

The Jaguars defense has only allowed 11 goals in 25 games, and four in Moore League play.
