Hustle plays and heart carried Cabrillo boys’ basketball to a 64-60 upset win over visiting Millikan on Friday night. The Jaguars haven’t beaten the Rams since 2012.
Cabrillo (3-11, 2-4) was led by seniors Elijah McGee and Sirjohn Hardiman. McGee had 20 points, 10 rebounds and three steals, while Hardiman finished with 17 points, 12 rebounds and two blocks.
Millikan (11-9, 3-3) cut the lead to two with less than a minute left, but Cabrillo sealed the victory in front of its home crowd by making free throws.
