Long Beach Poly Cross Country Wins Dos Pueblos Invite

For the second year in a row, the Long Beach Poly boys’ cross country team won the sweepstakes title at the Dos Pueblos Invitational. The Jackrabbits have a great history at the Santa Barbara event, which they’ve competed at 16 times in a row (with 14 wins).

There’s a unique scoring format at the event, which scores the top three runners in each grade level.

Poly had the top three seniors (Will Frankenfeld, Alex Matos, Chris Yontz), second-place junior (Zane Witter), and a third-place freshman (Nicholas Mejia).

Poly is ranked fourth in the CIF-SS Division 1 poll and fourth in the State in Division 1.
