The Panthers are entering another season under coach Mele Motuliki, and are in rebuilding mode. Motuliki says the construction job in the gymnasium on the Ron Massey Court mirrors the construction that’s been happening all over the North Long Beach campus for the last several years.
“We are working on constructing a team that will bond for the years to come on and off the court,” said Motuliki. “We’re in a tough league but with the group of girls I have, I don’t expect to be average. I know they can work miracles.”
Jordan is hoping to rely on defense to outlast teams, rather than outhit them. They’re led by Vika Makaafi, a senior middle blocker, Grace Tonga, a junior outside hitter, and Jeannae Gagau, a senior right side.
