Long Beach State water polo head coach Gavin Arroyo will once again being representing the United States when he joins head coach Dejan Udovicic and the Men’s Senior National Team as an assistant coach when the team competes in two exhibition matches against Australia March 28 and March 30.
With an extensive history with USA Water Polo, Arroyo looks forward to the opportunity to dawn the red, white and blue.
“I’m super fortunate to have coach Udovicic bring me on to help out,” Arroyo said. “Obviously, going through the program when I was a player and doing a little coaching, it means a lot to me to be a part of what our country is trying to do.”
Arroyo served as the USA Water Polo Men’s Junior National Team’s head coach last year and will also look to represent LBSU aboard.
“Anything that carries over here at Long Beach State obviously is a plus, but right now it’s really just about getting out there trying to help our guys and learning and staying up to date with what’s going on internationally.”
